Never Fully RealizeFreelance, Mixed media animation, Motion, (2024)
Frame-by-frame, hand-crafted mixed media animation for "Never Fully Realize", a music video for artist Krietz, directed by Jillian Sobrino. Each frame was printed, cut, scratched, drawn on, and even treated with bathroom cleaner before being rescanned and reassembled in the timeline. The unpredictable textures and imperfections created through this process would be impossible to replicate authentically without working by hand.
A single page of 8.5x11 mixed media contains 12 frames. Each frame is held for only 2 seconds before moving to the next frame. Doing this allows my mixed media sheets to then match up with the 24 fps video. A long, but very rewarding process that I loved every part of.
